All bookings are made via the hotline number 08000 131 282 and are on a first-come first-served basis.
Prices are correct at the time of printing, however circumstances beyond our control, eg; Government action, taxes and currency fluctuations, may cause an increase. If such cases arise we will absorb amounts equivalent to 2% of the tour cost although we reserve the right to pass on surcharges larger than this providing they occur more than six weeks before departure.
A deposit of £95 per person (£150 solo/£250 couple for the South Africa Tours) is required to book a place and can be paid by credit or debit cards, via the hotline number.
Stage & balance payments can be made either by cheque, debit card or credit card. However, credit card payments are subject to a handling fee of 2.5% per transaction.
You will receive a booking confirmation, terms and conditions, the payment schedule for the tour and an invoice. Failure to send prompt payment may result in cancellation of your booking. Bookings made within four weeks of the departure date will only be accepted with full payment. Failure to meet payment requirements may result in cancellation.
In accordance with the 1992 Package Travel, Package Holiday and Package Tours Regulations, tour operators are required to provide for the protection of holidaymaker's money to guard against insolvency. Therefore, as required, all monies paid will be held in a World of BMWTrust Fund.
Participants must arrange insurance to cover 24-hour emergency, accident and breakdown recovery for the motorcycle and adequate personal and medical insurance to cover repatriation in the event of accident/illness. Riders with BMW Emergency Service will have cover for this, please check your BMW Emergency Service terms and conditions. Click here for more information on BMW Motorrad Insurance. Participants must also arrange travel insurance. Click here to arrange BMW Travel Insurance.
The organisers reserve the right to cancel a tour if there are less than six motorcycles booked. In such cases an applicant will be offered an alternative tour or a refund of all monies paid. Notification will be given at least five weeks prior to departure.
If an applicant cancels a tour the following charges will be levied: Between time of booking and eight weeks prior to departure - the amount of the deposit four to eight weeks - 50 per cent of total tour cost less than four weeks - 100 per cent of total tour cost
Because tour arrangements are made some months in advance it is possible that certain slight changes to an itinerary might be necessary. These changes may only be minor and the organisers will notify everyone as soon as possible. However, if significant alterations are required, e.g. changes to date or point of departure, ultimate destination and location/quality of the main hotel, or a major change to the tour itinerary which reduces the quality of the tour, participants are free to continue with the tour with the revised itinerary or accept the offer of an alternative tour of similar value. Alternatively, bookings may be cancelled in return for a full refund.
In the event of a significant change that results in a cancellation the organisers will, in addition to a refund, offer compensation as stated for the period before departure within which a significant change is notified. Compensation per person: more than one month £0; less than one month £15 less than seven days £20.
Overnight ferry cabin upgrades may be possible subject to a surcharge and availability. It is also possible to extend your tour rather than returning with the tour group. Also if you like the sound of a tour but cannot make the dates, the World of BMW can organise all of the details for you to go alone.
Once a tour starts participants will be in possession of the return ferry ticket. Refer to the section marked insurance to ensure adequate 24-hour emergency cover. In the case of insolvency during any stage of the holiday, please refer to the section, Financial Protection.
The organisers cannot be held responsible for unforeseen delays to a journey or ferry crossing (to or from the UK). In the event of a delay participants will be responsible for providing their own meals, travel and accommodation.
If a person, for any reason, is unable to travel he/she may transfer the booking to a third party. In such cases at least two weeks notice should be given and the changes will be subject to an administration fee of £25.
The organisers are responsible for ensuring that any part of the tour programme booked, where it is within their control, is supplied as described in the tour brochure. However, please be aware that during the holiday some amenities, e.g. hotel lifts, swimming pools etc, require regular servicing and cleaning and therefore may be inaccessible at times. Also the organisers cannot be responsible for some amenities being affected by weather conditions or mechanical breakdowns.
The organisers make every effort to ensure that the correct arrangements have been made for all the tours in the brochure and that the suppliers of the services that go to making a holiday enjoyable are efficient and reputable.
The organisers cannot be held responsible for death, personal injury or illness caused by activities engaged in which are outside the tour itinerary.
Participants are required to ensure that their motorcycles are in a good road legal condition, have valid insurance and MOT cover, if required.
Participants are responsible for their own motorcycle, its use and conformity to local laws and regulations. They are also responsible for any pillion passenger being carried.
An accident that occurs to a rider, or pillion passenger, will never be the organisers responsibility.
Should a motorcycle suffer a mechanical failure, or accidental damage, it is the responsibility of the owner.
If for any reason a participant decides to leave a tour during its duration he or she will not be recompensed.
Participants require a valid UK passport for visiting EC countries. If the rider or passenger have any other passport, a visa may be required and they should contact the appropriate office before travelling.
When holding a non-UK passport, please advise the organisers who will advise of any visa requirements for non-EC tours.
Each eligible participant should carry a ‘European Health Insurance Card’ (EHIC), available from the Post Office, to enable a percentage of medical fees incurred in EC countries to be reclaimed.
