Paul takes on the National Road Rally

Despite a break from biking of 30 years, one of our Lind Motorrad customers, Paul Sewter, will be swapping his slippers for motorcycle boots and mounting his BMW Motorcycle in an effort to raise money for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices. The charity has to raise £16,000 every day in order to offer vital services to children with life-threatening conditions and their families in Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk & Suffolk.

Although he feels he is more suited to bus pass than bypass, Paul will be taking on the BMF ACU National Road Rally on the 1 & 2 July. The event is a ‘scatter rally’ where competitors devise their own route of several hundred miles, taking in a set number of checkpoints throughout the country within a given time period.

“I had thoughts of doing the rally many years ago, but never got around to it. I consider myself extremely lucky to finally get my dream bike after all these years and wanted to use this opportunity to give a little back. To me, the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices is a fantastic cause, helping youngsters who may never get the same opportunity to realise their dreams as the rest of us.”

Paul has been overwhelmed by the generous pledges of support already received from local motorcycle clubs and individuals, but knows more is needed. 2the cost of supplying the essential services is quite astounding. Whatever I raise is a drop in the ocean, and while I am incredibly grateful for any donation that people give I’m always looking for more to help these kids.”

You can donate to this worthy cause on Paul’s Just Giving page.
